this isn’t new - just as blacks are purportedly incapable of racism, they are also immune to committing hate crimes...why that is, no one has ever explained to me, but Al Sharpton said it long ago and so it must be true.

There is actually something vaguely resembling logic in this notion.
"Racism," in its primary definition, is defined as belief in superiority of a race (usually one's own). The claim is that while most blacks loathe, hate and despise whites, they don't believe blacks are superior. Therefore they cannot be racist.
Since they are not and cannot be racist, they are also incapable of committing a racist hate crime.
Personally I believe "racism" should include all hatred of other races, regardless of whether you believe in racial superiority or inferiority, but they haven't yet asked me to write the dictionaries.
