Yes, this is horrific but not untypical. People need to be aware of their circumstances. These Brits were in a very dangerous situation and they were not aware of it or were very foolish. The perps should in this case face the death penality. Will they? I doubt it. At the very least they should never get out of prison.

The authorities and the law is too soft on those who do commit gun crimes. Someone who is arrested for shooting at cars should not be out on bail..they should be locked up waiting for a trial.

Unfortunately there are a lot of these punks that have learned their social skills on Nintendo murder simulators. If you want to wander around the streets in Florida at 2:00 AM you had better be packing. A St. Pete cop was killed a few weeks ago by a 16 year old. Recently a jogger in Tampa dropped a gangsta wannabe with his .45 Glock. Right now it looks like the bad guys are winning. Be safe out there.

If your British guests are from rural English villages - you should caution them to:

#1 Stay in brand-name hotels and never pay cash in advance without a receipt.

#2 Use a buddy-system and keep the cell phone charged.

#3 Lock all rooms’ and car doors.

#4 Don’t walk on deserted streets during daylight or after dark.

#5 Dress casual, but avoid red & blue.
