Good news on the freedom-of-speech front.

NJ Gov. Christie was wrong and quite a jerk regarding this case. I hope he learns something here.

Good to hear that the taxpayers of NJ have to pay for his extended vacation with a $25k bonus.

As in ALL the cases of wrongful termination, I believe THE INDIVIDUAL who did the firing should pay the damages OUT OF THEIR OWN POCKET. This scam of fleecing taxpayers/consumers from the Deep Pockets' target will never end.

He should not have been fired at all, exercising his Free Speech, but somehow the Taxpayer gives the guy $25K AND his job, because a higher-up wrongfully fired him....let the guy who fired him PAY.

I doubt it, based upon his other decisions, re: Islam

Good to hear the 1st Amendment kicked Mohammed's butt though.

I think they need to commemorate this moment with autotune.

Dude, You Have No Koran!

I hope he learns something here.

I doubt it - His voters are learning who/what he really is. Sept will be ten years - we may now see more burning.

This was a no brainer, and I’m stunned by Christie’s position. The government can’t punish you because they don’t like your speech. I remember, years ago, when President Reagan was shot, some civilian employee at a city police department said she was glad it happened. The police department fired her, but the courts overturned it for the same reason. Unpopular speech and loathsome speech have to be protected, or we’ll turn into Canada- where a human rights commission fined a comedian for insulting a lesbian at a comedy show.

Here’s how this needs to be done whenever someone feels the need to back off a muzzie. While I’m not a book burner it does indeed seem to be an effective way of letting camel jockies from the Arab 22 know how you feel. And everyone should have a copy of the Koran for the same reasons you need Mein Kampf and a Bible-—so you know what’s in ‘em.
You do not want to enrich a bookmaker just to insult a Muzzie so make up some color copies of just the cover of your Koran. Then hit a few garage sales and buy up a basket full of old Danielle Steele or Zane Grey paperbacks. Paste the Koran covers on the paperbacks then you really do have something worth burning. Put a big photo of your favorite dumba$$-of-the-day behind it. Set the thing on a pile of bacon and light it off. Send the video to your local TV station and maybe even Al Jazeera.

Putting all of Asia Minor on notice that some of us don’t much like their cheap krap can’t be all bad. You can thank me later.
