Bush Gas Price 4/22/08 $3.58-Obama Gas Price 4/22/11 $3.85-Where's That Faked Media Outrage Now?

Remember the ENDLESS parade of media stories blaming Bush, Cheney, and the Republican Party for high gas prices in 2008? The average gas price posted every single night, right before the war casualty totals on the Alphabet Network Evening News shows?

Where are they now? Where is that crescendo of faked liberal outrage we were treated to? The fires of the Orwellian Memory Hole are working overtime...

As this chart from GasBuddy.com shows, gas prices are trending about 10% HIGHER going in to Summer 2011, than they did in Summer 2008.

So, using the logic displayed by the Democrats, the Left, and the Mainstream Media in 2008, it must OBVIOUSLY be the fault of the EVIL OIL MAN in the White House, right?

On March 14, 2008, CBS ran this story blaming BUSH for everything.

"Clinton Blames Bush Administration for High Gas Prices http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-502443_162-3941035-502443.html

Have at it, folks

As just one of MILLIONS of examples is this CBS story from March 14, 2008: On March 14, 2008, CBS ran this story blaming BUSH for everything.

"Clinton Blames Bush Administration for High Gas Prices

And, to add to our trip down memory lane here's what OBAMA said on Aril 10,2008. Obama attacked the Bush administration on the issue of gas prices:

Obama took part of his speech from headlines across the nation, noting that the average price of gas just hit $4 a gallon for the first time. ....

"At a time when we're fighting two wars (Obama took care of that, we're fighting FOUR now.), when millions of Americans can't afford their medical bills or their tuition bills, when we're paying more than $4 a gallon for gas, the man who rails against government spending wants to spend $1.2 billion on a tax break for Exxon Mobil," Obama said. "That isn't just irresponsible. It's outrageous."

Where are those hypocrites now??

The irony is that the leftist bias of the MSM is self-destructive, but they will cling to their ill-conceived group-think ideological beliefs while destroying their own profession and lives in the process.

You could pretty much do this on every application - wars, oil, gas prices, jobs, economy, transparency... even photoshopped chimpanzees. LOL!

They are hypocrites.

>>> Where’s That Faked Media Outrage Now? <<<

Honestly, I’d rather the media outraged over “Where are the TRUE jobs?”

Exactly. If they were profit driven and chasing ratings, they’d imitate Fox News which has the highest. Instead they are ideologically driven and Americans are finding their news elsewhere.

Obama has come up with a new bad guy for gas prices: speculators. Ignore that Obama encourages chaos in the Middle East, blocks drilling in the Gulf while helping Brazil, tells Americans to get rid of their American-made trucks and SUVs, etc. Obama gets a free pass from his MSM “minions.”

I think that, the way things work, high gas prices are blamed on a president only if that president is Republican.

If the president is a good Democrat, then he gets a pass on same.

In fact, Obama announced a task force is going to study the issue of gas prices. I guess he feels our gas pains.

And it's early. Read in the WSJ that Chinese truck drivers were protesting the high price of diesel. Instability over there...well it's not mom can't get to soccer. Have a billion Chinese start busting up all the Western corporation's production investment over there, and Donald won't have to impose tariffs on imports, there won't be any. Goodbye Wall Street. Goodbye Asian tiger.

ABC's Good Morning America was all over it this morning - well, in their way, that is.

They had four reporters at gas stations across the country, talking to people about how they were dealing with escalating gas prices. Strangely, not one of them saw fit to mention the lack of drilling for oil, or the absence of new refineries, or of the intentional devaluation of the dollar.

Instead, ABC gave us Dear Leader at a campaign rally (why the hell is he campaigning 17 months before the election? - no one asked) pontificating on how he will bravely defend us all against "speculators" and "price gouging".

Not a word from a person with a differing point of view, nor any hint of the truth. Back to you, Diane....

Obama making his rich oil buddies richer. He isn’t interested in lower gas prices. He is interested in electric cars, solar, windmills, etc. He could care less if gas goes to $6 or $7 per gallon, as do most Democrats, because “that’s what it is in Europe.” Yeah, but, it’s less than 50-cents-per-gallon in Saudi Arabia. I like that better. Drill here, drill now!!!!

I can understand the missing media. Hey they are Liberal, and they are doing what Liberals do. I want to know WHERE ARE THE REPUBLICANS? They have been given a campaign issue on a silver platter that nearly every American Voter can relate too. They should be bringing to the Americans attention that under Obama, America’s dependency on Foreign Oil has increased not decreased. That many closed oil platforms in the Gulf are still waiting on permits to begin operating. How Oil Prices affect everything we buy, and job losses as well. And the facts about how much oil America is really sitting on, that Obama refuses to go after.

Where are the Republicans? Seems to me they are as silent as the Democrats on the other side of the aisle.

“Obama gets a free pass from his MSM “minions.””

Yep. I think a big part of what motivates many on the left is hatred of the right. They have a very erroneous view of those of us who call ourselves conservatives.

They envision the right as: those who want to make women stay home and be ‘obedient’ to their husbands, who have primitive religious views and want to force them on others, who are racist and want to preserve the ‘white man’ status quo at the expense of other groups they envision as ‘victims’, who are basically less intellectual, worldly, thoughtful, and compassionate than them.

Ironically, they support self-determination of anti-American nations in which suppression of women, intellectual suppression, religious fundamentalism, racism, and general societal intolerance is the norm.

Actually, they are going to stop right there. When the price gets cripplingly high (if you think $4 is it, think again!), they'll claim that it is "Big Oil" gouging the poor working schmuck.

Keep in mind that the administration can raise the prices of oil and natural gas sky-high overnight by shutting down drilling going on right here in the USA, and the stage is set for having the public screaming for the Government taking over the oil companies (with the right media spin, of course).

Clinton said she would pledge $50 billion to an energy strategic fund to make America energy independent, insisting to the crowd of nearly 2,000 that she would take tax breaks away from oil companies in order to pay for it.

She also took two quick shots at John McCain and Barack Obama, saying both voted for an energy bill that Vice President Cheney put together, claiming it gave tax subsidies to oil companies.

BO voted for evil VP Cheney's energy bill?

Naught BO!.
