DES MOINES, Iowa—Prominent Republicans here pretty much splinter into two camps on the question of whether Sarah Palin will jump into the 2012 presidential race.
One side points to a mysterious California lawyer named Peter Singleton as proof the former Alaska governor will definitely run. The other side points to Mr. Singleton as proof she won't.
"When it comes to Palin in Iowa, it's pretty much Peter Singleton," said Iowa Tea Party Director Ryan Rhodes. "The guy is everywhere."
Crisscrossing the state in a series of rented cars, the 56-year-old Mr. Singleton has spent the better part of five months visiting obscure county GOP chairmen, befriending tea-party activists, buttonholing lawmakers in the lobby of the state Capitol, and amassing a database of potential Palin supporters. His base camp is the Days Inn in West Des Moines, where he washes his shirts in the sink.
Deepening the mystery: Mr. Singleton swears he has never met Ms. Palin and has no contact with her team. "I'm just a dedicated activist working on my own," he said.
Ms. Palin's aides concur, insisting that she hasn't met with Mr. Singleton...
But not many Republicans here buy the lone-wolf theory.

Connie Armstrong, a top GOP organizer in Linn County, which includes Cedar Rapids, pulled him aside at the event to grill him on his ties to the Palin camp.
"He kept saying 'we,' but he wouldn't clarify who 'we' was," she said. "My gut feeling is he's working on her campaign."
Wherever he goes, Mr. Singleton argues that Ms. Palin will jump into the race, will win the Iowa caucuses and the GOP nomination, and is the best suited to defeat President Barack Obama.
If others think he is "amiably but aimlessly wandering about on an extended holiday trip," he said, all the better.

So her people say she has never “met” this guy. Phone calls, emails and text msgs. Don’t constitute a “meet” I suppose.
Then again, maybe her CoS hired the guy and Sarah’s never even heard of him.

The press will go balls to the walls to get to the bottom of this “mystery man”. Meanwhile, they have no idea, nor do they care, who the man is sitting in the White House.
Interesting comment.... I wonder how many out their like myself have thought of starting an effort without her go-ahead so we at least have a "team" ready to run on day one.
But tangent to this it denotes the following:
* Sarah doesn't just have broken glass voters, she may have broken glass volunteers
* As a fan of aviation, Sarah's internal security rivals that of the former Soviet Airforce and has us wondering about every "aircraft" if you will, This guy is analogous to the MIG 25 Foxbat, it (or he) is a mystery until we get ahold of it, and dissect it (not physically of course, but what is his motive or external driver) .
* It is interesting she is using Soviet Tactics against the Socialist-Marxist in both parties... ( Yes that was funny :-) )
* Either she is reading military tactics or tangent to her inner circle are some Mil Spec types or she is just a rabid hunter like a Cougar in the wilds because she is getting in all their "OODA Loop's".

Sarah Palin has been drawn and quartered by the MSM and scared bloggers.
They didn’t take her out.
She has what they fear, courage of her convictions!
Palin has that “thing” that the other candidates running for the GOP ticket lack.
You can call it a lot of things, but she’s got “it” in spades.
Conservative money and muscle will come out to support her in 2012.
Considering that he has spent about five months doing this stuff, I don’t believe he is a lone ranger operative. He has got to be backed by some organization.

Probably rght on about the GOP will jump on her bandwagon. For now the GOP good ol boys are splintered and trying to push upward their own guy.
The Donald is not really REALLY serious thinking he will get the nomination or be elected, he’s able to afford to speak his mind on things most pols hide from, like birther questions. He obviously is having a ball and getting a boatload of free PR.
Serious runners are being quiet about intentions, now is not the time to start taking arrows. Unless a meteorite lands on her, Sarah will be in the best position Spring of 2012.
