I don’t disagree that we already have a Constitutional crisis. We actually have several.

The problem is that the electorate, such as it is, wants simply to be able to delegate the work of governance to other people and then go on about their lives. That same electorate barely understands the Constitution beyond the Bill of Rights and they aren’t too sure about the meaning of that. They can be educated, but they do not know how to practice discernment and so, they do not know whom to believe as to meanings, both substantive and historical. Additionally, they have been inculcated to want to be good and *good* has been defined for them for a couple of generations by academia and the media, including the popular entertainment media.

Incompetence and its effect on people’s daily lives is a better tool and it can be used to get him out. It is not as satisfying, perhaps, but if, by some miracle, he was forcibly removed by the military and incarcerated, a world-wide *Free Obama* movement would spring up, complete with riots that would not be confined to the inner cities. Our enemies would vie for the right to offer him asylum because they know this game, have played it before and are experts at it. It would become like the average Latin American or African dictator who was deposed and his cadres purged, only to reappear at a later time with international allies, after having nursed that grudge and engaged in a covert civil war. We would become Contras. How did that turn out for Nicaragua?

We had a stealth coup in America. Not a shot was fired. We retain our Second Amendment rights. What good did our arms do us?

We only retain our vote because they still need that appearance of legality. Slowly, some safeguards are being put into effect in some states to guard that vote, but look at how violently that effort is being contested. Slowly, people are seeing, over and over again, that the left has subverted the electoral process. THIS is a major issue and we can tell because all across Wisconsin, for example, the left is flat out accusing the GOP of subverting the vote, just exactly as they already have. This is an issue we can use to accomplish the same end: get rid of them and of him.

They accomplished this mess incrementally over a long time period. There are numerous fronts in this war, which is divisive for our side because people will not agree on which issues merit a fight. Right now, we have a window of perhaps the next two elections, which include another round of local and state elections, as well. We fail and we will be left with a worse polarization that could include that plurality that we need being intimidated into silence and non-participation.

We do not disagree on substance. The disagreement is over tactics and strategy. We need to fight on grounds which are favorable to us, both short and long term. If we do not fight smart, then the deciding issue will become a rallying point for the opposition that they will turn into a conflagration when the shoe is on the other foot and one of ours can be accused of something that seems as egregious to them (and a plurality of the electorate)as this all does to us.

We cannot fight in hot anger. It needs to be cold, calculated and with persistence across all fronts. It is a long war and anger alone will not see us through to the end.

When the supreme court became an extension of the executive branch, we lost our right to petition the government for redress of our grievances. The courts have become, in essence, government enforcers finding that their version of the Constitution is the means to institute and give legitimacy to governance OF the government, by the government, to the government, for the government.
This is a war we cannot afford to lose. The foundation of this country is not just being chipped way, it is being nuked. We have been on the receiving end of a decapitation strike. Fortunately, they have only wounded us.
Took us awhile to heal. Will take much longer to completely recover and regain our strength. Time, however, is not on our side. Another blow like this and we will be finished.
Stopping that deathblow is what we had best be about right now if we are ever going to turn this ship around.
