A couple of things stand out in the various interviews. Rove talks about Trump making the campaign all about the birth certificate. Trump's statement shows that it is only one issue, and that he is also going to talk about China, jobs, and OPEC.

Rove talked about Obama trash talking Republicans. I remember Rove trash talking a very nice Republican.

Trump has a winning strategy so far. By bringing up the birth certificate, he is certainly generating a lot of attention. As gas goes higher, and the economy gets even worse, Trump gets first shot at ripping Obama while he is the center of attention. He is at least talking about issues that Republicans, and non Republicans are concerned about.

The willingness to fight the media is the first requirement for a candidate who wants to fight for the future of America. Rove can simply be ignored.
