Herbert Hoover was a great businessman. Before he became president he was Secretary of Commerce from 1921 - 1928.

Then, as President, he went on to sign the Smoot–Hawley Tariff Act, which turned a recession into The Great Depression.

What does "great businessman" Trump want to do? He wants to put punitive taxes on Chinese imports.

Wow. Great idea, Mr. Trump. If we're going to relive history, let's relive it in spades!

Trump isn't a conservative, and he doesn't understand the first thing about free markets and free enterprise.

If we can just get the country to inherit a relative mountain of wealth, we'll all be as luck as Trump.

Donald Trump's father Fred built an empire that was worth billions in adjusted dollars. It included over 27,000 apartments and houses in Brooklyn and Queens. It didn't all go to The Donald, but it wasn't just money that he inherited, it was the business and all the contacts.

The Donald's personal wealth (which seems to inflate and deflate as robustly as Oprah's weight) owes a lot to the wreckage of partners, creditors, investors and banks that he left holding the bag for his business failures.

I'm sure he'd be better than Obama, but so would the lead singer of Wang Chung, the guy who sells me my coffee in the morning, the ghost of Charles Dickens, or the Sham-Wow guy. Better than Obama is hardly a high bar.
