What is it with Newsmax and Trump?

After the Tea Party event in Boca last week, there appeared a Newsmax article which unfairly reported on Congressman West's responses to an interviewer's questions about Trump, and caused many to criticize West, believing that he had, in effect, endorsed the candidacy of Trump.

Unless someone here has a tape of a different interview than the Newsmax interview with Col. West which appeared on its own site, the real words and implications of the Congressman's remarks in that interview are very different than Newsmax reports in the article which accompanies the interview, and they do not, in any way, endorse, or express admiration for Trump. Further, in that interview, West did not say he would be honored, or even willing, to serve as VP with Trump, as some believed.

For any who wish to hear the Congressman's own words, visit the site and listen carefully to his wise response.

Newsmax should be ashamed to have left the impression it left in the article and headline.

Congressman West expressed the principles of the Constitution as they apply to our current situation, as well as his determination on deficit and debt reduction. Anyone who is looking for a candidate who can expose the emperor's lack of clothes in a 2012 campaign would do well to examine every word this man has uttered publicly throughout his life and in the last two years to ferret out his authenticity--just as they should do for Trump and the other potental candidates. If West's record fails the test, he fails it. If not, he should not be misquoted, as Newsmax has done.

Rearranging his words to fit some preconceived notion about his appearance at a Tea Party event in his own district with a flamboyant Donald Trump who lives in the distrit as well, says more about the agenda of the organization which did it than it does about Col. West.

Of course, you failed to mention that Allen West attacked a Birther at a recent town hall, using the same RINO spin “I do not think that is an issue” in regard to Obama Eligibility.

A precise, exact Constitutional matter is never a non-issue. If West is willing to give Obama a pass on the Eligibility issue...what other issue will West give Obama a pass on?

Not sure if supporting conservatives on the Obama Eligibility issue turns one into a conservative.....but I do know that attacking conservatives on the Obama Eligibility issue is truly not conservatism.

I Am Birther
