Who?
That guy who sits at the end of the bar in Jansen's Tavern has announced today that he's running for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination.
"Those other guys, they don't know jack about jack," that guy said in a statement today. "I was watching Jeopardy the other day, and got like 12 right. And I own my own ATV, that was running great up until like two months ago. And I got a dog."
That guy announced his candidacy Thursday morning at 2:30 from his long-time perch at the bar. He plans to spend the next three years bumming free drinks from supporters and visiting local businesses with his hand out.
Thailand?
He’ll be the GOP’s version of Mike Gravel.
In a separate, but related story, Jar Jar Binks has announced his candidacy for the Republican nomination for President.
Not a surprise... I was anticipating this.
America may surprise and vote in Rand Paul.
Wow, viable my friends! Definitely viable! The wiki bio read practically like a campaign write-up!
Like he’s gonna win.
Who he?
Gary is a rags to riches story, knows what hard work is, how to get people in jobs and how to make a profit.
If you all want to go with the run-of-the-mill elitist, lady-in-waiting, lesser-of-two-evils, candidate-of-the-month, go with the GOP.
It's time for something different, because what we've had before, and the choices we have now, aren't going to work.
He’s down with killing unborn babies.
I won’t vote for a baby-killer. Non-negotiable.
LoL.
Next week I will be announcing my candidacy. My slogan “What this country needs is an arrogantsob.”
So how long before Johnson quits the GOP after getting little support and runs as a Libertarian, à la Ron Paul and Bob Barr?
So far, the only acceptable choices (i.e., both true conservatives and able to get 270 electoral votes) are Tim Pawlenty and Herman Cain.
Mr Johnson, what would do about ILLEGAL ALIENS, Mexico, ENERGY. I don't mind his \/iews on weed, but I want to know about TAXES, the border, ILLEGALS and JOBS!!! SOCIAL ISSUES shouldn't be an issue in 2012 -- we need to DEFEAT the Marxist Jimmy Carter. (who would'\/e thought that there would be someone WORSE then CARTER!!!!)
Which is why he doesn't have a prayer of getting elected - the government-media-Wall Street complex will annihilate him if he starts to attract attention.
But opinions on him are an excellent litmus test - stating disdain for Johnson and his candidacy on FR says a lot about who the "conservative" poster really is.
This is the favorite candidate of Reason magazine, and he’s the cool Republican for the gay crowd over at the Atlantic. That should tell you everything you need to know. In layman’s terms he’s a liberal. The 10 percent that Ron Paul gets, is about the same as the 10 percent every reefer candidate gets in every election in the last 30 years.
what a nice, normal name
I was in New Mexico during the final months of his 1994 campaign for governor. He took on a popular incumbent, but seemed new and refreshing, and won.
