The Constitution matters. This

Yeah right. The birther "constitutionalists" were remarkably silent when Bush unconstituionally launched UNDECLARED wars against Afghanistan and iraq. They are also silent when Bush called for suspension of constitutional right of habeas corpus of an American citizen. They were also silent when The Donald, and others, attacked the constituional free speech rights of Americans who wanted to build a mosque.

Beam me up, Scottie. The last "declared" war we had was WWII. Congress approved our entry into Iraq and Afghanistan.

Text of Joint Resolution On Iraq Passed By The United States Congress--The following resolution was passed 296-133 by the House of Representatives and 77-23 by the Senate on October 10 and 11, 2002: Joint Resolution to Authorize the use of United States Armed Forces Against Iraq.

Building a mosque on or near Ground Zero was a recognized right by virtually everyone. The issue was one of appropriateness, not rights.
