I have a neighbor who talks with pride about his 9-year-old daughter's boyfriend and his 8-year-old son's girlfriend. I tell him that he's crazy and will be a grandpa within 5 years. I've been to the schools and see the kids hanging onto and kissing each other on school property and it's horrible. Why do the schools allow this?
I'm for single-sex high schools where there's no temptation. Let the kids mingle at supervised Friday night dances.
I think that deep down the kids are not comfortable with it either but they go along with it to prove their worth. I don’t think it takes a genius to understand that they are not mature enough to handle anything to do with a serious relationship. These kids KILLED over one.
