“Seinfeld is also Jewish so you have to wonder about him supporting the Muslim over St. Jude.”

What was the Danny Thomas story? I think I remember something about him praying to St Jude and his prayer came true so he started the foundation.

Why do people like Seinfield who make their living off of entertaining people believe it is smart to piss off half of their audience?

Danny Thomas was born in the United States. His folks came over from Lebanon. Thomas was confirmed in the Catholic Church

There were LOTS of Lebanese Christians. One of my first roommates was Lebanese Catholic, same as Danny Thomas IIRC.

Correct. From Wikipedia:

Early life

Thomas was born Amos Alphonsus Muzyad Yakhoob in Deerfield, Michigan, son of Charles Yakhoob and his wife Margaret Christen.[3] His parents were Maronite Catholic immigrants from Lebanon.[4] Thomas was raised in Toledo, Ohio, attending St. Francis de Sales Church (Roman Catholic), Woodward High School and finally The University of Toledo.[5] Thomas was confirmed in the Catholic Church in Toledo by Samuel Stritch who was bishop of Toledo at the time. Stritch, a native of Tennessee, would be Thomas's spiritual advisor throughout his life and subsequently urge him to locate the St. Judes Hospital in Memphis.[6][7] He married Rose Marie Cassaniti in 1936, a week after his 24th birthday. Thomas first performed under his Anglicized birth name, "Amos Jacobs", before choosing the stage name, "Danny Thomas", which were the names of two of his brothers.

Yes, a Lebanese Christian. I was in his home once. Holy Christian images everywhere, even on the ceiling.
