TEPCO seeks 20% cut in employees' annual salaries

TOKYO, April 21, Kyodo

Tokyo Electric Power Co. is considering cutting annual salaries of its employees by around 20 percent as part of its restructuring effort to make compensation payments over the emergency at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power complex, company sources said Thursday.

What?!? They should be raising salaries and health care benefits for all those who have had to work around all that radiation.

The Fukushima 50 finally get their corporate awards for good service. TEPCO corporate execs will meanwhile be busy scoping out future plans at night clubs in Ginza (or Kabuki-Cho, hmm why not both) for the next few months...

Most worker bees will probably be dead in 6 months anyway from radiation. Top officials should be forced to wear those paper suits and work long hours at the hottest reactors

Talk about adding insult to injury!

BTW, thanks for taking lethal doses of radiation for the team to save the reactors from damage worse than what has happened. You are also going to have to take a second one for the team to save us from the financial meltdown by you taking a 20% pay cut.
