Mumia Abu-Jamal: California Teachers' Pet

Justice: The widow of a slain police officer wants to know why the California Federation of Teachers has taken up the cause of the man convicted of murdering her husband in cold blood. Hey, they teach your children.

Former Black Panthers member Mumia Abu-Jamal has been a poster child for the loony left ever since he murdered Philadelphia police officer Daniel Faulkner in cold blood during a routine traffic stop on Dec. 19, 1981.

Officer Faulkner, 12 days from his 26th birthday, spotted a car driving the wrong way down a one-way street with its lights off. He pulled over the driver, one William Cook, who got out of the car and began tussling with Faulkner.

Moments later, Mumia Abu-Jamal, Cook's brother (formerly Wesley Cook), arrived on the scene with a .38-caliber handgun and opened fire, hitting Faulkner, according to eyewitnesses, in the back.

Faulkner returned fire, wounding his assailant, who got off several more shots, including the one that hit Faulkner in the face at point-blank range, killing him.

Police found Faulkner fatally wounded and Abu-Jamal with a bullet wound in his chest and his gun and five spent shell casings sitting just a few feet away. Four eyewitnesses testified at his trial.

Another wacky teachers union - this one likes cop-killers.

And teachers want more pay? Gimme a break - if it was up to me, these ‘teachers’ would be unemployed.

The question for the CFT is why is it supporting a convicted cop-killer who is guilty beyond any reasonable doubt, and why now, three decades after his crime? If this is the mindset of a majority of the rank and file, what kind of skewed teaching about America and its judicial system must be going on in our classrooms?

Liberals and Leftists in California are beyond belief. They are savage, conscienceless political mercenaries scripted out of the Orcs of Lord of the Rings. Something has happened to them - they are not merely bad, they are grinningly evil. They are the snarling enemy of all freedom, all truth, and all mercy. And they are Legion.

"In a post on the Ventura County Star website, Mrs. Faulkner remembers Abu-Jamal, who, "when taken to a hospital after he slaughtered my husband, to remove a bullet shot in self-defense from my husband's gun, said in front of two witnesses, 'I shot the (blank) and I hope the (blank) dies.'"

Fry the CTA leaders.

Maybe these teachers will have their message taken to heart by their students and some of them will grow up to be violent murdering criminals like Mumia.

Maybe if they do a really good job some of their students will murder police officers.

Does anyone know when this whole “Free Mumia” campaign started and what Dimocrat group started it? And what their original purpose was?

I imagine it won’t be long before the California morons will be demanding that the schools teach classes on the “contributions of cop killers”.

I have looked, and I see a lot of odd COMMIE FRONT groups associated with it.

SO FAR, the ORIGINAL campaign started with this (Based on google searches)

Vast Left Wing Conspiracy

IN THE SPRING OF 1994, I was strolling down Philadelphia's legendary South Street. I noticed a poster in a storefront window, reminiscent of those seen in Moscow, Beijing, and Hanoi that informed passersby the latest news.

"Free Mumia," read the headline. The sign concerned efforts by the Uhuru Democratic Party, the local successor to the Black Panthers, to release the convicted murderer of Philadelphia police officer Daniel Faulkner from death row. Abu-Jamal killed Faulkner back in 1981, and a jury found him guilty only one year later. In the intervening seventeen years, however, left-wing supporters have waged a tireless campaign to exonerate their man. In April, thousands marched in Philadelphia to demand his freedom. Speakers at the rally included Ramsey Clark and Ossie Davis.

They are but two of the many celebrities on the Mumia bandwagon. Whoopi Goldberg, Ed Asner, Peter Coyote, Mike Farrell, punk-rock band Rage Against the Machine, and many others are also on board. The group is so eclectic that it’s difficult to see what it is that unites them around this particular murderer.

P.S. Read the full article at the link, to get the full effect.

Seems to me that Ramsey Clark was the RINGLEADER in pushing the FREE MUMIA campaign.
