Both Bushes passed the “conservative’ litmus test, and you see how well that turned out.
Other than Palin, who I would vote for, show me anyone else who’s got the guts to call-out Obama and ‘put the fire out’. At this point, it’s TRUMP!
I say let Trump run. But if you or anyone else thinks he is a conservative, you are mistaken. He knows he has at least some audience with his current stances. Otherwise, he would not have flopped around to try to draw a crowd.
As for the Bushes, they were both put forth by the “He doesn’t need to be conservative if he speaks up” crowd. They were selecte by the Rockefeller Wing of the GOP and used as Trojan horses.
People can be personally conservative and govern as moderates or liberals. Bush comes to mind.
Who’s to say someone can’t be personally moderate/liberal and govern more conservatively?
