I remember a time where the people were all good God-fearing citizens who would send a lost child home or watch out for their neighbors. Those days are gone. Now the people are looking at what they can take from you and half of them are doing nothing but living off of the industriousness of others. My personal opinion is that this country is doomed as surely as ancient Rome and nothing we do will change it. There is a cliff looming and sooner or later we will plunge off the edge, most of wondering what the hell happened. The only decision to be made at this point is where you will fit into the new totalitarian paradigm. I, for one, will consider myself lucky to simply be left alone for the remainder of my days.

I remember a time where the people were all good God-fearing citizens who would send a lost child home or watch out for their neighbors. Indeed, the good old days of altruism.

Sounds like selfishness, individualism and greed gone off the radar...
