We might, and I mean might, have a chance to save the economy before it gets driven over the cliff. Defined benefit plans are going to be replaced by defined contribution plans. Medicaid will be sent to the states. Medicare will turn into a government subsidized insurance program. SS will be fixed too.
IMHO this will never get past the Senate. Filibuster don't ya know.
