Sounding increasingly like a candidate, Donald Trump repeatedly told a raucous tea party crowd today he has the qualities needed in the White House and the conservative ideals necessary to seal the Republican nomination should he decide to run.
Trump struck familiar themes and talked about his own business acumen in his speech to hundreds gathered at a park here, where his name festooned signs, buttons and T-shirts of supporters. The real estate mogul even talked about the type of people he'd have serve as diplomats and said he was looking forward to releasing his financial disclosures.
"Most very successful people, the kind of people that we need running our country, don't want to be scrutinized and abused," he said. "This is the kind of person that this country must have right now."
He derided President Barack Obama, calling him the worst to occupy the White House in history. He again questioned whether the president was born in the U.S., even though the fact has been affirmed by officials in Hawaii, where Obama was born. And he maligned China, saying the U.S. should take control of Iraqi oil and described American infrastructure as third world.
Trump ticked through a number of issues seen as bedrocks for conservative candidates, saying he is anti-abortion, against gun control and wants to repeal Obama's health care law. Throughout the speech, he portrayed the U.S. as a nation in decline and himself as its potential savior.

We still have a ways to go, lot of thing are going to change from now until the time to pick a horse is here. For now, watching Trump scare the hell out of the establishment is too much fun not to enjoy....so enjoy it!

Only a fool believes what a politician is saying now when he wants your vote while disregarding what he did when he didn't care about it. That applied in 2008 to Romney and Guiliani and applies now to Trump.
You are hardly redeeming yourself on this thread. But, then again, you are gullible enough to fall for Trump, so at least you are consistent.
And secondly, wait to declare? Why not give your little piece of advice to those who already have him in the white house?
Oh, and Sarah Palin, Michele Bachmann, Alan West and Herman Cain have been doing a fine job going after Obama. They just don't bark as loud as Trump.

No problem, LVR. I love that Trump is going after Obama. What I don’t love is the people blindly ignoring his past and declaring him the GOP nominee already. Most of the country ignored Obama’s past, and now look what we’ve got.

Why? She is taking a conservative position and you are not. So you are in no position to demand squat on this conservative website, other than forgiveness in a month or so when Trump plays out as the stalking horse of this media cycle. If you want to support Trump because you have fallen for his bullcrap, that's your choice, but you will be called on your naivette if you demand that others on FR follow you off the cliff.
