Sounding increasingly like a candidate, Donald Trump repeatedly told a raucous tea party crowd today he has the qualities needed in the White House and the conservative ideals necessary to seal the Republican nomination should he decide to run.
Trump struck familiar themes and talked about his own business acumen in his speech to hundreds gathered at a park here, where his name festooned signs, buttons and T-shirts of supporters. The real estate mogul even talked about the type of people he'd have serve as diplomats and said he was looking forward to releasing his financial disclosures.
"Most very successful people, the kind of people that we need running our country, don't want to be scrutinized and abused," he said. "This is the kind of person that this country must have right now."
He derided President Barack Obama, calling him the worst to occupy the White House in history. He again questioned whether the president was born in the U.S., even though the fact has been affirmed by officials in Hawaii, where Obama was born. And he maligned China, saying the U.S. should take control of Iraqi oil and described American infrastructure as third world.
Trump ticked through a number of issues seen as bedrocks for conservative candidates, saying he is anti-abortion, against gun control and wants to repeal Obama's health care law. Throughout the speech, he portrayed the U.S. as a nation in decline and himself as its potential savior.

And I respect your’s too sds. And yes I will defend your right to your opinion but I would encourage extreme caution regarding anyone who ‘sounds good’ whose actions are the complete opposite of what is being said. Don’t fall for someone just because they happen to agree with a viewpoint you hold.
Actions speak louder than words.
Good grief, it was horrible.
That’s funny, he endorsed McCain in 2008! Need a source on that...or do you just want to keep on spreading bullsh!t.
Nice post!
lol ... If Obama is severly weakened or damaged there will be a void on the democrat side. Who will step in? Wonder-Woman Clinton. Trumps sidekick is a dem operative. Why would he suddenly be interested in finding a good candidate for the GOP? Hillary cannot go after Obama. First, she works for him. Second, she needs to stay clean and not be seen as a (b word). If all goes well, Obama will be toast and Chelsea should be ready to produce the first Clinton grandchild in time for campaign 2012.

Bet they were liberals......
HA HA, I never considered that -- she did say her near term ambition is to be a grandmother. She can have her cake and eat it too.
When said army is full of trojan horses, you damn well better believe I’ll fight them off. You see, I’ve *learned* from my mistakes in supporting the GOP, pretty words and slick promises from candidates who wrap themselves in the flag and conservatism, only to stab conservatives in the back.
Merv Griffin doesn't count.
Duh! Better Hillary than Obama...at least the GOP regulars have a chance against Hillary.

The man behind Donald Trump’s possible 2012 presidential campaign is a registered Democrat who voted for Barack Obama in 2008...

Both parties fear a Trump Administration. He may dig up a few bad smelling skeletons hidden inside government. He may break up the DC Beltway club.
More of my thoughts here.
