If you can't appreciate the pure beauty of the violin after hearing this, something's wrong with your ears.
My tagline for about 9 months before to a month or so after the 2008 election:
Obama: Carter’s only chance to avoid going down in history as the worst U.S. president ever.
I saw it coming.
I can’t think wishfully?
:’) Great!
The difference between me and Donald Trump is that I predicted it ... the night of his election. the same day Trump voted for him. If he's so rich, how come he's so slow on the uptake?
He's operating in the realm of BIG BUSINESS and you usually spend a certain amount of time making sure you kiss everybody's butt a little. You don't know for sure who may or may not be driving the bus. If you're playing at the high finance level you need friends on BOTH sides of the fence.
You're POV sounds like it's all B&W and there is no Grey area.
“You’re POV sounds like it’s all B&W and there is no Grey area.”
Principles have a way of separating sheep from goats and black from white. I know many businessmen who earn their money without abusing/using political influence, so they don’t HAVE to need ‘friends’ on the other side.
You know, after years of people whining about how our politicians lack principles and sell us out at the drop of the hat, know full well that part of that problem is that the PEOPLE themselves vote the snake-oil salesman into office, my mind is boggling a bit at the excuses made on behalf of the unprincipled behavior of this billionaire. We only hve ourselves to blame when we say we want “X” and vote for someone who delivers “Z”.
Look, you are right that his behavior is that a big businessman does, even though I find it a bit unseemly. My point, is simply this: That’s not what a principled conservative does. If you want a principled conservative in the White House, you won’t get it by supporting Trump. He’s an operator who is not a conservative.
Who ever said Trump was a principled Conservative?
look at it this way for a minute. Your feelings and experience are usually relative to what you believe.
I've worked with many BIG EGO type people in the course of my endeavors in the entertainment business. The primary thing that I've learned is what Shakespeare said centuries ago.. "all the world is a stage, and we're it's players"
My point, I tend to look at everyone as an actor doing his or her "act". If they're smart, they tend to put on an act that wins others over, or, if they're inept, they scare people away.
Trump is trying his "act" out. For a guy with a lot of money I can say he's got more guts than brains. His appeal at this point is almost on a sitcom character level.
I doubt Trump will even be a contender by next Spring. I say that because like an eccentric sitcom character, the NOVELTY wears off sooner rather than later. Time will tell.
In the meantime, sit back and enjoy the show and just realize when the BULL gives somebody the horns you and I will be able to say.. "I bet that hurt".
Never mind, my critique of Trump is as a Presidenital contender, not as a showman, and I agree he’s good at self-promotion - you don’t get a show that’s run that long and not be.
” Who ever said Trump was a principled Conservative? “ ... some on FR are declaring they’ll vote for Trump. Without vetting him, imho that is foolish.
