I don't think the identify of the Ripper will ever be conclusively found. Both him (assuming it was a man) and everyone else living during that time are long dead and forensics and investigative science were primitive to say the least back then compared to now. This is the Mother of all Cold Cases! All the investigators profiled did agree on one thing, however, and that was given the current state of forensic and investigative science it is extremely unlikely the Ripper would have escaped justice had the Whitechapel murders occurred today.
Certainly who ever ‘’Jack the Ripper’’ was will never truly be known but certainly he/she must’ve have been someone who was able to move freely about London’s East End. Someone who would have blended in with the lower-class elements and would not have stood out or attracted attention. England was still very much a class-ridden society and surely someone of the upper-classes, dressed in fine clothes and looking prosperous would have certainly attracted attention and would have be avoided by the denizens of White Chapel.
