I knew an old timer who used to wear a Brooklyn Dodgers cap, which had 2 heavy lead sinkers pinned inside. I any of the local punks gave him any grief, he'd just doff his cap. And lately the “Hipsters” from Manhattan have discovered Bed Sty. Plenty of them are moving to Brooklyn.

Lots of sandstone homes in Bed Sty. I bet the Russians are buying them, gutting them and rebuilding them. NYC isn’t Detroit. There’s money to be made buying the ghetto homes. However there is the public safety factor to be considered.
