Tim Lincecum intends to donate $25,000 to help Bryan Stow, the comatose Giants fan who suffered a skull fracture in a brutal beating in the parking lot of Dodger Stadium after the first baseball game of the season.
I encourage Giants fans to support Mr. Stow in a positive way and hope there are not any more unfortunate acts between fans in this great rivalry, the pitcher wrote on Facebook.
Stows neurosurgeon, Dr. Gabriel Zada, said the 42-year-old Santa Cruz man, a paramedic and father of two, remains in a medically induced coma in an L.A. hospital although his sedative dosage was reduced Wednesday.

Bryans attackers, two Latino men in their late teens or 20s, have yet to be found by police.

I only wish that the scum that committed this heinous crime gets caught and dealt with.
This is a nice gesture on Lincecum’s part. What would be really sporting would be for the opposing team to eat the costs of making Stow well again.
That is awesome! God Bless him.
Really????? That's hysterical.
"The opposing team" had nothing at all to do with what went on in the parking lot that night.
Lincecum could raise a ton of money by offering to shave his head of that nasty hair in exchange for public donations. I might even pony up $20 to see that.

Reasonable minds may disagree with you on that. The Dodgers, and Angelinos in general, have been aware that their stadium and parking lots have become incereasingly dangerous over the past five seasons or so due to increased Latino gang activity. It’s well documented. Don’t be surprised when the Stow family lawyers up and cleans out the Dodgers in a civil suit. The McCourt’s have very deep pockets and their nasty and very public divorce have many hard core Dodger fans upset with them over perceived failures to the team stemming from this. The right jury could pummel the McCourt’s and the Dodgers where it hurts.
It would be a smart preemptive move (and the right thing to do) for the Dodgers to step up to the plate and start assisting this man and his family before a civil jury forces them to. If Stow is permanently brain damaged or dies, Katy bar the door. The Stow family may end up owning a piece of the Dodgers and some of Dodger Stadium.
Evidently you haven’t heard about the Dodgers half-price alcohol deal and other questionable promotions.
Nah. Then he'd have to drop the "Freak" moniker. Keep the hair, Timmy!
And it's a great thing he's doing for Mr. Stow.
I was initially thinking they'd scooted off to Mexico, but, since they're in L.A., why bother crossing the "border?" They'll just blend in quietly 'til the heat dies off.
LOL! Geniuses have their quirky ways......he brings to mind the 1976 Detroit Tiger Mark "The Bird" Fidrych who went 19-9 his rookie year.
