Yes, the GOP won most of those last elections, giving it control of 1/3rd of nonjudicial branches of government. That's it.
Even if the Senate would have passed this, Obama would have vetoed it.
Planned Parenthood kept its funding even while the GOP had both houses of Congress and the Presidency. Why? Because the GOP needs a super-majority to completely defund Planned Parenthood, or virtually any of the pet Democrat projects. That's called political realism.
Of course, political realism works both ways. The Dems had both houses and the Presidency, and yet they didn't pass a single anti-gun bill, or reverse the Partial Birth Abortion Ban. How about that?
The House should have simply forced the Senate and Goober to go along or no money at all for anything.
If a stalemate occurs, Planned Parenthood (and every other part of Government) shuts down, and thus, they are out of business. Unfortunately, we already KNOW Boner is afraid to let government shut down......
No, they do not. Funding anything takes an act of Congress. Without that act, nothing gets funded. Earlier this week, the RINO-led House voted to fund Planned Parenthood. Without that vote, Planned Parenthood would have gotten no money.
Yes, it really is that simple. It is time to call their bluff. It will be a win-win for the Conservatives. Either Obama signs a bill which excludes funding for Planned Parenthood, or Obama vetoes a bill which excludes funding for Planned Parenthood. Either way, Planned Parenthood doesn't get funded. Capisce?
