I guess all of the issues such as the state budget, school funding, low test scores and high drop out rates have been solved and now California's legislators can focus on the important problems challenging the schools.

When I was growing up, I loved science, aviation, spaceflight, computers, and technology in general. I was troubled by the fact that none of my social studies textbooks mentioned anyone like me.

Why are a person's bedroom habits the defining part of their entire life? One would hope we would teach our children to be more that just their "giblets" (GBLT).
Maybe we should focus on developing their minds - a radical thought for schools.
