Republicans React to Obamas Speech: And I Missed Lunch for This? Thursday, April 14, 2011 By Susan Jones
(CNSNews.com) - President Barack Obama gave three Republicans -- Reps. Paul Ryan (Wis.) Dave Camp (Mich.), and Jeb Hesarling (Texas) -- a front-row seat at his "deficit" speech on Wednesday, then proceeded to blast the Republicans' detailed plan to fix the nation's economic woes, without offering details of his own.
According to Obama, Republicans have concluded that "even though we can't afford to care for seniors and poor children, we can somehow afford more than $1 trillion in new tax breaks for the wealthy." He also accused Republicans of wanting to end Medicare as we know it.
Rep. Jeb Hensarling said he was honored to receive an invitation to the speech, but as it turns out, it was something he could have watched back at his office: "I dont know about my colleagues, but I thought to myself, And I missed lunch for this?" Hensarling said afterwards.
This was not a speech designed for America to win the future. This was a speech designed for the president to attempt to win reelection. This was a speech that prioritizes the next election over the next generation. It was a speech that was heavy on aspirational goals and exceedingly light on specific proposals," Hensarling said.

nobama hates you, hates your family, hates Free America, hates Americans, hates the Constitution and hates the Bill of Rights. nobama is a hate crime foisted upoon the USA. nobama is the Destroyer.
It should be obvious to all that nobama is intentionally undermining this wonderful, exceptional country. God help us all.
He gave up his lunch and I lost my lunch
members of the GOP should stop showing up at these shows..
Maybe I'm being pessimistic, but you have to wonder why the GOP has caved so easily and so soon after such a monster landslide in the November elections. At least the 1995 GOP congress didn't cave until Clinton used the OKC bombings to launch his re-election.
To the contrary sir, it was a perfect example of the "WTF" approach that Barack Obama uses all the time. And why does any grown-up expect actual leadership or cooperation from Barack Obama? He is still just the coolest kid in junior high, and his friends want to get him re-elected as class president.
I know the freeloaders who are “experts” at listening to speeches will say this was the greatest speech in the history of the universe. I really didn’t see it that way. I saw a very angry, Marxist black man who hates America.
I do whatever is possible to avoid listening to obama. Yesterday I had to turn off Rush.
I’ve been watching Turner Classic Movies at night for a distraction, or baseball, or NCIS, etc.
Washington has become the Enemy of the People. Is there really a question of where it goes from here...?

“Rep. Jeb Hensarling...but I thought to myself, And I missed lunch for this?””
Eventually the Republicans in DC have to UNDERSTAND that they are absolutely HATED by this president, who would much rather put them in jail (or worse), if he could figure out a way. The only reason he invites them is to make them look like IDIOTS when they show up.
At some point, the Republicans need to get together with each other, put a decent budget together, release it to the media and the public, tell the Dems to get it through the Senate, tell Obama to sign it, and so that’s it. If Obama doesn’t like it, we’ll negotiate later...starting a month after the shutdown. News sometimes travels slowly, but eventually the Republicans will be told that THEY WON in November and the country is SICK of the antics of Obama and the Democrats.
...eventually they may get that news...maybe.
Why did these Simpleton Republican’s sit in the front row and accept these blistering attacks? They became willing participants in the con job, when they didn’t respond, react, or push back.
I would have walked out of there pronto, and yelled a few things at the JackA$$ in Chief as I was leaving.
C'mon now, did you really watch this? I can't watch his speeches.
