All because of continued mismanagement by the government bureaucrats:
Tens of thousands of children will now die from starvation.
Elderly will be cut off from much needed medical care.
Women denied health care.
You forgot the autistic and mentally challenged... silly wabbit!

SHUT THIS FRIGG’IN GOVERNMENT DOWN.
Was she an AA/PC hire?
A "professional" that wasn't all that competent?

BART has been such a POS since the beginning and the problem is in its basic design: trains run by a mainframe computer. The project was ahead of its time and an admitted failure. Nonetheless, the engineers who designed this boondoggle have received all kinds of engineering awards, I suppose for their intentions not the results.
Trains are never, NEVER, on time, though BART massaging their stats considers delays up to 5 minutes to be on time (trains on each line run every 15 minutes during weekdays.) Train station agents are uniformly rude, have nothing to do and collect high salaries.
It is expensive, the minimum fare from one station to the next runs $1.75, if I’m not mistaken. Trains are dirty, so often the heating system is on during summer, air conditioning on during winter, doors fail to open, or fail to close, station announcements, recorded in all the subway system in the world that I’ve ridden, are optional to the operators, who’ll speak them in ebonics, or mexicanics, or not say them at all. Since the system is run by a central mainframe, the train operators are unnecessary, like in the airport trains, but were added to assure the4 passengers that someone’s in charge. But they can do little - delay the closing of the doors is about all.
And finally, the train announcements at the stations, which are recorded, are spoken by a male or female voice which has been altered electronically to NOT sound Caucasian, but to sound friendly to blacks and to the yellows. I kid you not, you’ve got to hear it to believe it.
Seems like the board was pretty incompetent too. They can’t hold a secret closed door meeting and now we have to pay hush money to end what would have been a lawsuit.
BART sucks. Honestly I take it every couple of years for the nostalgia and each time I think “How can anyone justify riding this Piece-O-Crap?”
It’s also such a waste of time and the transit cops are all too eager to issue a ticket if your car is even on the line in a parking space.
