If you wonder whether Donald Trump is serious about running for president, tune in to the finale of The Celebrity Apprentice on May 15.
Trump plans to say on the NBC show that he will be holding a press conference in the next few days. At that press conference in the Trump Tower in New York, Trump will be announcing his candidacy for the presidency.
Even then, many will snicker that its all a publicity stunt. But that defies the facts and common sense.
Of all the people on the planet, Donald Trump is the last person who needs more publicity. And if he is riding a groundswell of support, why would heor anyone elsedecide not to run?
Since writing the first story in January to report that Trump will definitely run, I have been amazed at how much the idea of a Trump presidency is catching on across the political spectrum. As I wrote in my story, Dont Underestimate Donald Trump for President, he can be outrageous and boastful. But when it comes to a successful run at the presidency, dont count him out.

We have a man standing on the street corner burning our Constitution and Trump stands up in the square complaining about it and the so called “conservatives” attack the messenger and ignore the burning of the Constitution.
I guess we’re learning that for some Party Ideology trumps all even the US Constitution.
“Donald Trump / Alan Keyes 2012”
Never fly... Keyes has moral principles, not so for Trump.
Agree again and well said...
The Left said almost the exact same thing about Reagan. ....and I think its becaue the left have been educated since 1st grade with the values of the Left, weakness surrender love conquers all crap.
That's unlikely. But I can easily see how you would think that.
Never in a million years will I vote for Trump.
Trump’s record on adultery and marital fidelity might only be beat by Newt’s.
It may come as a shock, but the FBI, and CIA, can find skeletons even if they have to make them up.
“Trump / Rubio would be a very powerful ticket.”
Umm.... rumor is that Mr. Rubio can’t pass the “natural born citizen” test, either.
Hasn’t he been fudging a bit when questioned about this?
And the same may even apply to Bobby Jindal....
Before you toss rocks at me...
What’s good for the goose must be good for the gander, too.
Good to know. Thanks
It would be an incorrect rumor. Both were born in the US.
Do you have suspicions about Obama’s constitutional eligibility to be President?
How do you think it should be handled?
Both were born to parents who were not both citizens at the time of their birth.
Neither Rubio nor Jindal is a Natural Born Citizen, regardless where they were born.
Yeaaaah, he haz em.
Of course.
But making it the ONLY issue is idiocy. What if you are just throwing the tarbaby in the briarpatch? What if that kind of campaign is exactly what Obama wants?
All he has to do is whip out a birth certificate at the Dem National Convention (forged or not) and its all over. 90% of America gets their news from the MSM and it will be reported as the grand slam.
That would be the end of the GOP chances to win anything in 2012. It is NOT the biggest issue. Lack of evidence is not proof of a negative.
This is the wrong path to take, the GOP candidate and Congressional candidates need to highlight the debt and deficit and government overspending among other issues, not this.
“Do not feed the RINOS”. That’s right, they’ll crap on you every time.
