When it comes to a possible run for the presidency by Donald Trump, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor is apparently not among those in the real-estate tycoon's camp, citing Trump's push to make sure President Obama is constitutionally eligible for the job.

During an interview on CNN's "American Morning" today, Cantor was asked, "Would you support a Donald Trump candidacy, especially with all this birther talk?"

The Republican from Virginia said, "No, I don't think he is really serious when we launch a – see a campaign launched on the birther issue."

CNN host Kiran Chetry then asked, "But don't you get nervous? You want to defeat the president in 2012. And you want a Republican to take over the White House. Is Donald Trump your best hope right now?

"No, I don't think so," Cantor responded.

Trump has recently skyrocketed to the top of several polls regarding 2012 presidential challengers to Obama.

“Didn’t somebody come out with a new book about the GOP Young Guns?”

They changed the title of the book to “Young RINO’s”

And the moon is made of green cheese.

Sure. But what about Richard Hoagland, famous "Facer."

The "Face on Mars" was a giant conspiracy as far as he was concerned, with NASA hiding proof of ancient civilization on mars.

So NASA spent millions of dollars, took some high-res pictures of Cydonia, and set the record "straight."

Except for Hoagland. And for that matter, NASA setting the record straight about a supposed NASA conspiracy just causes more conspiracy theories.

That will happen here, even if Trump is not a "stealth agent" of the left.

I'll hold judgement till Friday's interview.

You give Obama and his gang far more credit for strategic shrewdness than they have demonstrated. It is not conspiratorial for so many to ask to be revealed what someone is spending large sums to hide. The conspiracy was by those hiding the truth, the “astroturfers,” and now the real grass is growing up through the astroturf and they are not handling it particularly well.
