Time to arm Libyan rebels: Here's how

The insurrection in Libya against the 42-year dictatorship of Muammar Qaddafi has turned into a military stalemate. The battle lines have moved back and forth in Libya’s crescent west of Benghazi, the opposition’s de facto capital. Mr. Qaddafi has consolidated control of western Libya, and his forces are laying siege to the city of Misurata, the last remaining opposition stronghold in the west. A proposal for negotiations and a ceasefire by the African Union was rejected out of hand by the opposition leadership on the grounds that it did not provide for removal of Qaddafi, his sons, and his inner circle. With Qaddafi showing no signs of leaving, the options available to the United States and its partners have sharply narrowed.

To let Qaddafi restore his control of Libya would diminish US credibility...

The longer the Muslims in Libya fight each other the better off we are. I hope they fight each other for the next 40 years.

Obama's plan is to leave Egypt and Libya in the hands of radicals whose purpose (like Iran's) is to get every country they can united against Israel and the United States.

You probably consider that impossible. You might not even wonder why there is no birth certificate, why all of his records are sealed, why we can't really seem to have the MSM conclude that Obama is a total scam.

History will look back on Obama and wonder why the citizens slept while Obama used the US Military to empower Al Qaeda in Libya.

White Guilt.

Once again, how convenient it is for 0bama that budget matters took Libya off the front pages.

Well, a few of us are still watching, and we’re seeing the U.S. become entangled in a no-win quagmire. So, we’ve gone from a no-fly zone ostensibly to protect civilians, to striking Libyan Army ground assets, to putting CIA operatives in-country, to arming the al-Qaeda “rebels,” to (and we KNOW it’s headed in this direction) American ground troops.

And not even so much as a weak bleat of protest from the meek, submissive lot called the “American people.”

And once we insert ground troops... and we will... look for our "friends" in New Egypt to start slipping in MB and AQ terrorists to wreak havoc.

IEDs and car bombs, anyone?

Had Field Marshal Obama followed his initial instinct and stayed out of this dog fight it would be over by now, probably with less casualties than will result from our confused intervention.

Time to let Europe take the whole deal. We have no dog in the hunt. This is an oil issue we don’t need their supply . The French and the Brits run the oil fields it is their problem. Time to say goodnight and good luck .

I agree 100% but we need to GTFO of there; it's never been any of our of our business and we never should have stuck our noses in where they didn't belong. But since the muslim in chief want's to see his comrades in arms the muslime bruthahuud, succeed in their quest to dominate that part of the world, it was a foregone conclusion he would lend a helping hand along with a couple hundred million of our tax dollars.
