I will probably see the movie and I enjoyed (parts) of the book, but I really enjoyed Whittaker Chambers’ review, including this gem, “From almost any page of Atlas Shrugged, a voice can be heard, from painful necessity, commanding: ‘To a gas chamber — go!’â€Whittaker Chambers was mad because Ayn Rand disliked religion and was an atheist.
That comment is really unfair and just represents Mr. Chambers being pissed off.
I agree that Chambers' main beef with Rand probably was her atheism.
From her writings, she does strike me as a complete materialist. In many ways she is a product of early Soviet times.
