Renewable standards in Texas are not set using percentage numbers. The use an a specific amount of megawatts.

The first Texas renewable standard was in 1999 and required 2000 MW by 2009. This was updated in 2005 to 5880 MW by 2015 and a target of 10,000 MW by 2025.
