I'm seeing the movie, not on premier night - 4/15 - because I'm averse to crowds, but on the morning of 4/16 (here in New York City, several theaters show movies on weekend mornings.) I'm seeing it primarily for the pleasure of seeing it, but also because buying a ticket to an earlier showing boosts the sales numbers, and thus helps the movie get greater distribution.
In that connection, one suggestion: If you're going to see Atlas Shrugged anyway, think of buying the ticket in advance via Fandango. These purchases are quickly measurable, and racking up ticket sales will help the movie appear on more screens. And more screens means more cultural influence.

Atlas Shrugged was the hardest book I've ever slogged through. For about the first 1000 pages, it was utterly excruciating. However, the last 168 pages were gold.
I disagree with Ayn Rand on two points: 1) Her lack of belief in God, and 2) Her Objectivism doesn't take children into account.

It’s great to see ‘Atlas Shrugged’ finally coming to the big screen. I cannot think of a more timely message. Hopefully the financial performance of this film will allow Part II to proceed.

Tried to see this movie about an hour ago and after 30 minutes of delays. the theater said there was technical difficulties. Two guys were working on the roof trying to fix it and they were still not able to tell us when the movie would start.
You think these two guys were Wesley Mouch and Orin Boyle or just two SEIU 'Specialists'?
