Milt Romney Announces 2012 Presidential Exploratory
Committee (puts off decision again)
Former failed Gov. Mitt Romney (R-MA) is one step closer to officially announcing
what nearly everyone already expects -- that he'll seek the Republican nomination
for president of the United States in 2012. On his website Monday,
Romney (weakly as he is) kicked off the exploratory committee phase of his campaign
in the style of the day with a YouTube clip and a tweet (copying Gov. Palin).
"I will promise whatever you want."
Milt Romney - the Magic RINO:
"I'm not running as the Republican view
or a continuation of Republican values.
That's not what brings me to the race.
(Romney Video, accessed 9/19/07)
"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party
over to the traitors in the battle just ended.
We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged
to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support.
Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates
wouldn't make any sense at all.""
-- President Ronald Reagan
I will not vote for him.
(in the primary)
LMAO @ this thread. I’d love to dig up the posts from the past of those here that were cheering Willard on while he was fighting McCain and the Huckster, and all the grassroots support he got in the caucuses which embarassed the McCain campaign even after the nomination was no longer in doubt.
I have never trusted Romney. He comes off to me as being someone that will say anything to win votes whether he believes it or not. So be forewarned. He will say the RIGHT things to the Tea Party. Unlike McCain, he understands the votes and the voters he needs to get to the White House. And if 2012 shapes up to be about the economy, it puts him in an even stronger position. The man knows how to run. The problem is whether you can trust anything that comes out of his mouth. If the field remains lackluster, he could end up as the nominee, but I forsee more people able to come to terms with him than McCain in 2008 (although this isn’t saying very much).
That said, if the “mormon factor” doesn’t come into play and Romney can hold the McCain states, he has a very good chance of winning the election. OH/FL/NH are all in play and gets him to 270. Assuming he says the right things on immigration and gets Tancredo’s backing in CO, he would stand strong chances of winning there too.
Of course, the problem is Willard likes to follow polls, so if he sees the Tea Party falling out of favor, he’ll turn on them faster than a cheetah hooked on speed. As long as he believes Tea Party/Conservatives make up the majority and the real power, then I think he will continue to play ball.
I supported Romney over McCain. I don’t personally like either man but I hate McCain with a passion. Romney just seems fake.
I won’t back Mitt in the coming primary but vs Obama?
I’d vote for ANYONE over Obama.
RUN FER THE HILLS!!..mittens wants us to bend over for his Exploratory...
no Romney No Way.
I refuse to hold my nose again!
I will write her in, Ron Paul, or Bugs Bunny before I vote for Romney.
If this is the best the GOP can do, It is time for the Great Freerepublic Exodus to Australia.
No sentient on Earth will vote for the backstabber Romney.
Tens of millions of Americans
will write in Mickey Mouse before voting for
the fascist author of RomneyCARE.
“At this point I can’t, I held my nose and voted for Sarah, not McCain.I refuse to hold my nose again!”
I did not vote last time. I just hated McCain far too much. I don’t trust Mitt Romney, he’s too slick imo but I do not hold the same personal hatred for him that many others seem to. I won’t support him in the primary but if he wins the nomination I’ll have no problem voting against Obama.
“Tens of millions of Americans
will write in Mickey Mouse before voting for
the fascist author of RomneyCARE.”
As is their right and I would never try to argue them out of that decision.
Dear Mitt Romney:
Please explore going home and not running.
Sincerely,
NYCSlicker
The msm has deemed Romney to be the Republican nominee. They know that would make many Repubs stay home and 0 would win the presidential election.
“He doesnt need an exploratory committee but only exploratory surgery to find out where his brain wandered off to.”
Winner! ROFL :)
“But Letterman is still “an employee”, Trump is “a boss”.”
Excellent!
Nice hair. But who’s gonna vote for this mormon clown?
