a few weeks back, onewingedshark made a good statutory analysis of how governors could force the fed to act, or literally be free do secure their own borders by established laws...i am simply wonderin if the county sheriffs have the same type of authority/duty of law, which would force the Governors to in turn, force the feds...

it would seem theres a better chance of a single, locally elected sheriff with some balls to set the whole establishment upside down and actually get some border security accomplished, rather than waiting on a gov that is afraid to rock the fed boat...

I hear you. There are a few Sheriff’s like Arpaio, Babeu is one, but there sure isn’t enough like them. :-)
