Catholic colleges, like any institution of higher learning, hire a diverse portfolio of professors. If a professor in the math, or chemistry department has some loose affiliation to Planned Parenthood, who cares?
I went to one of those 150 Catholic colleges. And, my alma mater has Jewish Rabbis, protestant theologians and even an Imam or two - does that mean the university has abandoned their Catholic traditions? No, not at all. In fact, the Catholic tradition is one of religious pluralism and ecumenical outreach ESPECIALLY in the academic environment.
When great Catholic schools stop hiring people based on prior affiliations those people have, or may continue to have with organizations that have some cognitive dissonance with Catholic orthodoxy, then those Catholic schools cease being "great".
Yes, some of the ties are stronger and some are weaker. All the detail is shown and people can decide the appropriate remedy depending on the situation.
But in your case, you seem to be turning around and launching salvos at the Cardinal Newman Society for even putting this information out there, an extremely uncharitable and even anti-Catholic response.
