I would like to point out that caution is advisable in the Birth Certificate vs. Certificate of Live Birth situation.

I just took a look at my own family's records. Neither I nor my 4 kids have anything but a "Certificate of Live Birth."

Yet all of us have passports, drivers licenses, and marriage licenses. I served in the US Army, My son served with Special Forces in Intel, yet none of us have ever produced anything other than a COLB. I'm not sure about my wife's documentation because she was born in an Arab country and I can't translate the document.

So when Trump says that you must have a BC, not a COLB to get a driver's license, passport, etc., he is in error.

In my case, I was born in Michigan, my kids were all born in Illinois.

You've stumbled onto the fact that many people discussing this matter, including many here on FR, have the terminology confused. Look carefully at all the documents that have been posted on the internet and touted as the Illegal's "birth certificate" or "Certificate of Live Birth." Each is actually a secondary, computer generated document that purports to be based on the orignal birth document and is named "Certification of Live Birth." Indeed, I have a similar computer generated cetification from Cook County, IL that was created in 1996.

The real thing in Hawaii at the purported time of the Illegal's asserted birth there was a "Certificate of Live Birth," which was and is the so-called "long form birth certificate." At least one such actual Hawaiian "Certificate of Live Birth," generated for a pair of female twins at about the purported time of the Illegal's birth, has been posted on FR.

In short, the thing to remember is the "Certificate of Live Birth" is the real, long form primary document, while the "Certification of Live Birth" is the computer generated secondary document. The Illegal has only furnished a "Certification," never a "Certificate."

I’ll second you observation. I was born in the Houston, TX area in 1970. The hospital I was born in doesn’t exist anymore (went out of business). My “certificate of birth” that I have is certified by the registrar, and is what I used to join the US Navy. I was in for 4 years, as a CTT, which required a TS/SSBI clearance, and thus an investigation from the NSA. It doesn’t list the hospital, or the doctor. It also does list my step-father (who married my mom in 1975), as my father.

The problem I have with Soetero/Obama is there are just so many conflicting stories about his past, no one knows which to believe/disbelieve.
