Less so. The country and small towns is real America. Far more conservatives, Church goers, honest folk in general. “God guns and guts” are what define many rural areas. Sure, there are some riff-raff, but certainly less than in the massive corrupt evil centers liberalism we call cities.
I wish I could agree. That may have been true 20+ years ago, but not today. The demographics have considerably changed. Small town America is saturated with illegals, MS-thirteen wannabes, gangsta types, and other assorted riff raff. The small towns I used to hang out in (there were several) no longer look like America but more like some place transplanted out of a third world country. Very dangerous for pale faces. Now if you’re talking about the New England area and perhaps the Midwest then your observations may be spot on but for the rest of the country, the demographics have changed considerably.
