Russia, Iran, Syria. See Ezekial 38.
Possibly. I’m not sure that Russia is listed in Ezekiel 38, but it’s possible. I’m thinking more like Turkey, Iran and Syria, given that Turkey is making a push to become a bigger player in the ME right now.
Israel says new flotilla must be stopped
Of course. The Israeli occupying force do not allow imports or exports through Gaza by land, sea or air.
Yeah, that’s why they want the no fly zone, to arm themselves.
See verses 6 and 15 — “remote parts of the north”. Anything north of the Caucaus Mountains and Black Sea was pretty remote in Ezekial’s day.
Where do I send money for my ticket to watch that show? The ‘Raeli’s don’t actually need much airpower to deal w/Gaza since they have plenty of really nice self-propelled 155’s that can reach out and firmly touch anyplace in what’s left of Gaza. The Turk’s? Erdogan would love to but turning his back on the Kurd’s would be fatal. The Syria’s? Ditto for Baby Basher. He’d love to follow someone else into Israel but if he does he’ll find new tenants in the palace when he gets home. And Iran? They have no transport. They can’t get off their own beach. And BTW they have to get by the US Fifth fleet (read USS Carl Vinson and friends) and I’m pretty sure a fly-by would be fatal. Yeah, there’s a lot of heavy Arab thinking obviously going on but that’s pretty much all that bunch of in-bred pedophiles is good for. -——Please sell me a ticket!!
There goes the other shoe. Plop.
“I am confused. Is this to stop the almost newly recognized country of Palestine from shooting missiles at Israeli school buses?”
Uh, no, I think it’s to prevent Israel from fighting back.
Maybe NATO will do it. </sarcasm>
Lawsy, noooo!/hysterical shrieking and quaking, followed by laughter.
I wouldn’t think the syrians would want to tangle with the IAF again, They got a real good whooping over Lebanon in the 80s. I think it was 88-0 IAF.
What we really need is A NO BUY ZONE from OPEC.
The UN has an air force?
It was 87-3. In air to air combat it was 87-0, but a RF-4E and two helicopters were shot down by SAMs. Israel also took out most of Syria’s SAMs. Syria and Egypt are in no position to do anything at the moment.
Eze 38:2-6 KJV - "[2] Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him, [3] And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: [4] And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords: [5] Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet: [6] Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee."
So we have Gog, of the land of Magog who is the chief prince of Meschech and Tubal. With him, we have Persia, Ethiopia, Libya, Gomer and Togarmah. Going through the list, here's what we know from cross referencing several Atlases, Commentaries, Encyclopedias, and Dictionaries of the Bible.
Magog - Could be Western Turkey, or it could also be the region of Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Ukraine and the very southern edge of Russia. I lean more towards Western Turkey, but it's still open for debate somewhat.
Rosh - Could be Russia, Ukraine or Iran. There's also the fact that "Rosh" is consistently used throughout the Bible as a translation for "Chief" and not a proper noun. I lean towards this understanding, but I leave the other possibilities open as well.
Meschech - Turkey
Tubal - Turkey
Gomer - Central Turkey, Syria
Beth Togarmah - Southeastern Turkey, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Iran, Iraq, Syria
Persia - Iran, Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Pakistan
Libya - Obviously modern Libya, but could also include Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco
Are you noticing a repeating pattern here? All of the peoples mentioned in Ezekiel 38 as being the aggressors in the Gog and Magog war have Muslim majority populations and some form of Sharia law. I would also bet, although I haven't researched it in depth yet, that they're all Shia Muslim nations now or will be shortly. Can that be said of Russia?
You really, really, really don’t want to have a ring side seat for the Gog/Magog war. There’s evidence that it goes nuclear and most of the ME winds up being reused as a glass factory. This, I believe, has ties with the Burden of Damascus mentioned in Isaiah 17, where it states that Damascus will become a ruinous heap never to be rebuilt. There’s also ample evidence that Israel doesn’t come out in one piece and that Jerusalem itself, or at least a portion of it, would fall for a short time to the Muslims. Besides, you’re assuming that we would actually try to stop these events from happening. Ever stop to think that we cause it to happen by forcing the two-state solution on Israel? I don’t want to think about it, but the Bible is clear that no one will aide Israel during all this.
For that you can think the traitors and parasites in America who voted to put obama in the WhiteHouse.
Without them, no obama. Without obama, no Powers. Without Powers, no resolution.
This is the reason I despise the bastards that inflicted him on me so much.
The Obama administration is working overtime to replace our armed services with radical leftists.
A no-fly zone over Gaza and even a US attack on Israel is sooner than you think.
I truly hope you’re wrong, but I fear you may be right. What was unthinkable before this disgusting administration took office has to be considered seriously.
I’m still going to stick with my theory that Obama cherishes his political future too much to do something that would outrage such a large portion of the electorate. Now, in a second term(G-d forbid), when he’d have nothing to lose, ...
In fact, since the only way for 0 to move “up” politically after a second term would be Secretary General of the UN, he might see it as a real good move to guarantee his candidacy to be head of the international cesspool on the East River.
