(Again, IIRC) Mister Isikoff never appeared to suffer the slightest pang of conscience for such an horrific lie, or for the pain and suffering among the people who were killed or injured from the riots that resulted from the lie. (All from memory, feel free to make corrections).
So, established that Isikoff is a hyper lib and eager liar, there is no reason to believe a word that follows the byline (notwithstanding independent confirmation.)

My question is what other president in our lifetime has has such a question raised about his eligibility?

Reagan?
Carter?
Nixon?
Johnson?
And why does he stonewall the efforts to get to the truth?

Why then did Neil Abercrombie abruptly stop his fanfare with “proving” the ‘birthers’ wrong? Yes, where are the Hawaiian Freepers? Here in PA I once had a “Certificate of Live Birth”, which I always thought was a birth certificate. I found out the difference on my honeymoon; I had to have a valid birth certificate, not a certificate of live birth, if I wanted to get back into the states from a trip to the bahamas. So, I filled out a form and got one. So what makes Hawaii so different?
There was nothing in the paper which told where the birth took place, just that there was a birth. He had family there so the birth being announced would have occurred there regardless of whether the birth actually occurred there.
Has the hospital where he was born even been identified?
Not that I know of.

You'll notice Isikoff did not quote Fukino on none of the most important parts of the story. In an article like this after almost 3 years of deception, you get the story directly from the horse's mouth and that would be Fukino -- in quotes. Isikoff did not do that.
