Who doesn't like silver? Vampires and werewolves. :)

Watch the inverse correlation to Dollar drop was good advice in the past. It seems to have delinked from strict Dollar moves, as it should IMO.

I remember when it was 5-6 bucks thinking that it was high.
sigh.

I know someone who got burnt on silver years ago. (not the Hunt brothers -- he just got to talked into speculating when he didn't have a clue what he was doing.)

I believe the run up is due to the scarcity of silver which is used in many ways. It is only “shades of the Hunt Bros.” if one or two people are buying it up to manipulate the market. Also, People are buying it because it is so much cheaper than gold is. Fear of inflation and our very shaky financial dilemma threatens the dollar. So what else would you have people do?

Either the dollar is crashing, or it’s a bubble. Or both...

Considering that China has been taking a strong position in Gold of late, I’d guess that a crashing dollar is at least part of the equation.

I remember when it was 5-6 bucks thinking that it was high.

I remember when it was about $4.50, and silver eagles were $6. I thought to myself -- 33% premium? Forget it! Now I wish I hadn't been so logical.
