A technically true statement designed to muddy the waters. I would not be able to get THE original BC given to me by the state of New York either. That is THE original, and it has to remain safely on file. What we want to see is a CERTIFIED PHOTOCOPY of the original signed long form BC. Anyone should be able to authorize the release of such a photocopy of his or her own BC for a nominal fee.

Yes all you ever get is a certified copy. I had to get one once for my passport. I can assure you the US passport office will not accept a COLB.

So in essence all of this mumbo jumbo is an attempt to assist Barry Soetoro or whatever his real name in his ongoing fight to keep his records under wraps.
