There were more than two... Just off the top of my head, I can remember that in addition to the PBR and the PCF, there was also the "Monitor" and "Zippo" boats. Suggested reading on the subject: Brown Water, Black Berets.

It's been a while since I read it, but I was advised by a friend the was part of Task Force 117/Tran Hung Dao, that the book was about as accurate as any he had ever read...

I just remember those two from the year I spent in Vietnam, 1967-68. I went thru SERE training with 72 PBR sailors.
