Protesters decry Canada's roles in Afghanistan, Libya

Anti-war demonstrators gathered in Montreal and Toronto this afternoon to call for an end to armed conflict across the globe.

About 200 protesters marched through the streets of downtown Montreal.

Many carried signs protesting against Canada's involvement in Afghanistan and Libya.

Others wanted a peaceful resolution to the conflict in Ivory Coast.

The Raging Grannies protest group performed songs calling for a more peaceful world for their grandchildren.

Several dozen protesters turned out at a demonstration in Toronto.

Of course, we can’t oppose the Obama administration’s role in Libya and Ivory Coast until we find out what it is.

I wonder what it must be like living in the land of rainbows and unicorns, where everyone sits around in white robes with flowers in their hair and sings f'n Bobby Sherman songs all damn day long.

When are these head up their ass utopian liberals ever going to wake up to the real world and realize there is an entire race (and fake religion) of people who DESPISE THE WEST and want to see it completely destroyed and there will never be a moment's peace on this planet while there are any of them still left alive?

I passed the Toronto demo this afternoon. It consisted of ~25 people crowding around the TV cameras. Didn’t even slow down the passersby.
