Forces supporting Ivory Coast's entrenched strongman are showing they're not ready to give up.

They broke through the security perimeter imposed around the presidential compound today, firing on French helicopters. A spokesman for French forces says no French soldiers were injured in the attack, but the helicopters fired back, destroying one armored vehicle.

Forces loyal to Laurent Gbagbo's (BAHG'-bohz) camp had appeared on the brink of defeat, while those trying to install the internationally recognized winner of November's presidential election seized control of most of the country and isolated Gbagbo in a bunker.

Yes, those events took place in Italy, but Lorenzo not only survived the Pope's murder contract, he turned the tables on everyone involved, one by one, until he alone survived.

The French and the UN are trying to impose Muslim rule on a Christian country.

I find myself rooting for Gbagbo.

Would you root for Barry if he decides to do the same thing in 2012 — ignore the election and rule by force?

From what I have seen, the election was a scam. There were numerous votes by non-citizens who flooded in over the border, and the usual cheating.

The UN, being dominated by Muslims, always favors the Muslim side these days, and is shameless about the way they do it.

The Muslims just mass-murdered a thousand Christians under UN protection, and hardly a peep out of them, or the left wing media.

France wants to keep the Muslims happy too, because they want the oil and the rich customers for their goods.
