I think it was another anti-gun PR operation.

In response to questions, [Gillett's lawyer] confirmed that Gillett had received death threats before making the decision to cooperate.

Let's hope Mr. Gillett has good security.

Death threats are a bit overdone, ya think?

Between radical Islamists, anthrax in the mail, online stalkers and crazed gunmen in schools and shopping malls, it seems that EVERYTHING is a death threat these days. You can’t put strawberries in your cereal without the threat of salmonella!

What we should all do is start carrying personal protection at all times, stay constantly aware of your surroundings, and just accept the fact that you’re never going to reach retirement age.

And wear lots of tin foil, too. lol

Which would be more likely, the cartels being upset that ATF isn’t sending them more guns and will now have to look for another way, or those facilitating the guns crossing the border who face the possibility of jail time? (Not that I think jail time is likely...not with friends in high places.)

Still waiting to see what Blumberg and the other “Mayors for Gun Safety” or whatever the hell the call themselves have to say about this little project. Blumberger in particular makes a career out of using straw buyers for out of state stings.
