Re Donald Trump Gets Weirder, by Gail Collins (column, April 2):
Even before Gail Collins was with the New York Times, she has written nasty and derogatory articles about me. Actually, I have great respect for Ms. Collins in that she has survived so long with so little talent. Her storytelling ability and word usage (coming from me, who has written many bestsellers) is not at a high level. More importantly, her facts are wrong!
...I don't need Ms. Collins's advice. There is a large segment of our society who believe Barack Obama, indeed, was not born in the United States. His grandmother from Kenya stated, on tape, that he was born in Kenya and she was there to watch the birth. His family in Honolulu is fighting over which hospital in Hawaii he was born in-they just don't know.
He has not been able to produce a birth certificate -merely a totally unsigned certificate of live birth-which is of very little significance. Unlike a birth certificate, a certificate of live birth is very easy to obtain. Equally of importance, there are no records in Hawaii that a Barack Hussein Obama was born there-no bills, no doctors names, no nurses names, no registrations, no payments, etc. As far as the two notices placed in newspapers, some feel the grandparents put an ad in order to show that he was a citizen of the U.S. with all of the benefits. Everybody, after all, and especially then, wanted to be a citizen.

For some reason, the press protects President Obama beyond anything or anyone I have ever seen.
[...]
Open your eyes, Gail, there's at least a good chance that Barack Hussein Obama has made mincemeat out of our great and cherished Constitution!
DONALD J. TRUMP New York, April 7, 2011
(Excerpt) Read more at nytimes.com ...
My brother-in-law got me the talking Donald doll several years back. It was one of the great gifts of all-time. We have fun using him as an oracle.
The doll is like the old talking GI Joe I had as a kid, except it’s Trump in a blue suit. Press the button and he says things like “You really think you’re a good leader? I don’t”, “Go with your gut instinct”, and of course, “You’re fired.”
*************
Holy cr@p, I didn’t think the “REAL DOLL” came in a Donald Trump version, don’t hurt yourself. lol!
I just saw Trump discredited on Fox News last night. Oner pundit said that what he is saying is counterproductive, the other was saying what he is saying is not true.
The time to ask these questions is before the election, which is now. And, why are constitutional requirements counterproductive? Nothing Trump is saying is untrue, he is only asking the questions that haven’t been, but have needed to be asked the last three years.
None of this is independently verifiable from a government source (sorry, I can't put an image of my driver's license on factcheck.org and refer an officer stopping me in traffic to it without risking arrest-- factcheck.org is not a government agency, much less one that has any cachet to hold any reliable government documents on anyone's behalf). It boils down to that you read that someone wrote that something might have come from Obama campaign HQ and stuck stuck on some website somewhere.
None of what is on such a website has been independently verified from a government agency. All of it could be fake.
Therefore, none of it is proof of anything.
He is stirring the pot more than any R candidate!
That’s a GOOD thing if nobody else is willing to do ot.
Which confirms my initial response to you.
Saw that too....on Brett Baier right?
Nobody wqnts to address thenelephant in the room.
Trump does.....that earns my respect.
Would you feel better if he wrote like a $1000/hr lawyer?
Instead of bickering about him, just get the popcorn, settle back and enjoy the show...
At least he wrote it himself or he should fire his writer.
He writes like a businessman. His intention is to lay out his argument with clarity using as few words as possible. He did that admirably well. He understands that busy people are not going to wade through oceans of prose.
Very simple. They are mostly palinbots extremely jealous and angry of the spotlight trump is getting and the fact that many see he probably has a better chance to be obama than she does.
You also have the single minded religious voters who want their church priest as potus and don’t like donald for his marriages.
For me right now - I’m for trump bachmann in 2012.
Yes - he is showing we can go on the attack and do it effectively. I hope the rest of the Right takes note and leverages what he is demonstrating to us.
He IS an idiot. He's got my vote regardless.
The mainstream media did not take an oath to protect and defend the Constitution, but every member of congress did. Piss on 'em.
The Donald has just got my Vote.
Papers do edit letters, so don’t be so quick to assume it was Trump’s original prose.
Or....Better yet, allow anyone to order a certified copy of the long form birth certificate directly from the Hawaiian department of records.
Obama’s going down. Bet on it.
How about Trump/West?
coming across as an elitest hall monitor is worse....
