Right you are, more work to do. Its a start, and even though not what I wanted, it was better than I thought they would do. So keep the pressure on, praise what they accomplished, and let them know they can and will do better if they want to keep their jobs. This seems better than that Contract we had with America a while back that fizzled when they had them by the cahones. This time they know we are watching, but alas, here in Brown Town , no one cares,.... yet...

Really? Would you please cite examples?
If you can’t, then I guess your post should be considered classicist.

I know that Michele Bachmann didn’t like it, and I love and appreciate her so much! However, I’m very pleased with the results.
As you said...the fight goes on. This is a multi-election revolution.

Here, here!!!! I see the “Donner Party” Republicans are out in full force tonight. They don’t get 100% of what they want, immediately they are ready to eat their own. You did a masterful job in capturing the truth of the situation and not the half cocked opinions of many.

If I was a professional star athlete and had John Boehner as my agent to negotiate for me, I'd be in big trouble. He would probably take the first low ball offer from the owner and say “it's the best deal we could get”.

“The Republicans won. The conservatives lost.”
Nonsense, our armed forces are still being paid. Where do you think the extra 30bil was coming from. ODumbo woul dhave shut them down without blinking and you all would have been SCREAMING as loud as you could.
Better start looking at the big picture. The Dems control the congress and the Presidency, they lost big. We did not have ANYTHING to lose.
To: princeofdarkness
However, Republicans did win the inclusion of a policy rider that forbids public money from going toward abortion procedures in the District of Columbia, a restriction that had previously been enacted when Republicans held power in federal Washington.
The deal also adds money for one of Boehners favored projects, a program that provides low-income District students with money to attend private schools.Baah, fighting instincts like sheep.

The Senate now HAS to VOTE on cutting funding for Planned Parenthood. And the Senate is Dem controlled, so the bill will fail. No brainer for Reid to accept that as if it's some "concession".

In case anyone doubts or can't understand why some of us are so rabid on the debt issue, they need to go sit in front of the
US Debt Clock .org for about 3 hours and just think on the numbers you see reflected there.
Pay particular attention to the US Unfunded Madndates at $113 trillion and extrapolate that a bit into the future.
Have fun.

I wouldn’t call it a major victory, but it was more than I expected from Boehner. I give him a B.
As to the rest of your post, I agree that people should climb down off their high horses and get a reality check. When you only control 1/3 of the process, this wasn’t too bad at all as a pretty solid first start into the big battle, especially when the pubs’ usual M.O. is to fully cave, then snivel, then lick their wounds and go home and curl up in the fetal position. It appears that they tuned up their spines a bit, perhaps as a result of the strong rebuke they received over the lame duck fiasco.
*SIGH* We have so far to go to restore this country to a constitutional republic.
Have you ever stopped to think how blissful life could be without Marxists constantly on the prowl?

Really? Lots of Boner supporters? Don’t count me in that crew. Tears Boner is worthless.
This is being driven by fear instilled by Posser’s win in WI. It really is a win. Not because Boner did well, but because the demscum are terrified. And frankly, that’s the FAR better situation if we want to have ANY chance of saving the Republic...

I understand about Reagan ‘s admonition about Republicans complaining about getting 75 or 80 percent of a bill passed and not being happy with the results. However, JB did not negotiate well. He should have started from the $100 million he promised and worked his way down to 70 or 80 percent. Instead we ended with at best 40 percent of the original goal.

So do I. It begins the erection of a nice platform for ‘12.
We, the good people, need to start raising money and organizing a ground game for a huge turnout and anti-fraud measures for ‘12.

This was a major Republican win tonight. Period.then why are Harry Reid and Obama smiling?
Yes, the establishment Republicans "won". Hopefully we can primary them all out next year.
