He really does! And his hair is dark again today....no “wise sage gray” coloring.

I don’t care what position Boehner is in. He just got crapped on by the Democrats, and he’s happy to make a deal with them. The Democrats are laughing at us. We made a big deal about cutting government spending, and the Democrats are laughing at us because we settled for this POS. And the next time the budget comes up, the Democrats will pull the same tired crap, like they do every time. The Republicans hate Grandma, the Republicans are killing women. I don’t play their game any more.

You are talking too much sense for this crowd

Maybe, but I can understand the anger. It pisses me off, too, but I'm not blaming Boehner; I'm certain he wanted what they pushed for, but if you can't get the whole pie, you take the slice.

This is but the parley; the coup de main is yet to come.

Reid folded on the riders? No he didn’t. None of them are going to become law. The Senate will vote on them, that is all. We don’t need any more symbolic votes. They had a much better chance getting them into law by putting them in the CR and having the government shut down. The people are with us and this isn’t 1995.

Why are we negotiating out of weakness. Boehner should simply state, “I won’t pass any CR without the Obamacare and PP defunding riders, and that’s our starting position.” Isn’t the opposite Obama’s starting position? Why can’t we negotiate out of strenth, like Obama is doing?

He got a stopgap. The 2011 spending bill and 2012 aren’t passed yet. We will see what kind of negotiation goes on there. People simply can’t expect to get everything. But, we can hold their feet to the fire and hope to get some things which is better than when Pelosi was in charge and wouldn’t even talk to our side. As long as Boehner delivers in the end, I’ll stay supporting him. He can’t be expected to make the Democrat senate led by Harry Reid be reasonable.

You’re probably right. Can’t trust them any further than we can throw them.

You are right - there are not enough Americans that would even know how to take back the government by force let alone willing.

Start some protests like Egypt. You think the government wouldn’t quickly squash them?

Bring “freedom protests” to our streets and see what happens. lol

People are dumb - generally speaking. They either don’t care or they don’t want to care.

The next generation will be even worse. Look at the rights we are giving up TODAY - just think what this next generation will be willing to give up.

Turn out the lights.

Where have I heard this before? And how many times have I heard this before? Total nonsense, and total BS.

What do you propose as an alternative? How do we accomplish our goals if not through elections?

And Reid folded on the riders. He will lose the vote in the Senate on both EPA and PP.

You think the Senate will vote to defund EPA and PP?

My best hope is that the votes may be used in the upcoming elections for Senate - but are you saying that Reid will lose the votes meaning the Senate will vote to defund?

I’m blaming Boehner for getting $40 million in cuts. Big deal! And while we’re at it, let’s pay the Democrats’ patron, Planned Parenthood. How many times do I have to go to bat for the Republicans, and have them back the Democrats who are screwing us?

I’d use a dueling analogy but it might sound civil so I’ll refrain.

Unlike you, I DO my government and how it works. What the Senate and/or President do or don’t do is IRRELEVANT!!!! Not one cent can Constitutionally be spent without the approval of the House. That’s the facts.

Yes, the House can’t adopt a budget on its own. But neither can the Senate or President. If the House stands its ground, the only choice the Senate and President have is to either sign off on it, or not. If not, then the government stays shut down until they relent. And the longer such a shutdown lasts, the clearer it will become to the taxpayers how much the DON’T NEED ALL THAT SPENDING!!!!

"Riiiiiiiiiiiight. Who believes that? "

I believe the separate vote will be held. And the house will vote to defund them and the senate will not, so a bill to defund them will not pass at this time.

However, that will put the senate on record voting specifically for funding abortions. Which could be useful in the next election.

You are clueless. The big battles are yet to come. Boehner has won every battle to date, and now the House GOP is finding its legs.

There is much in this the Left will despise - beginnging with $
8 Billion more in spending cuts than anticipated.

Moreover, Reid will LOSE to the votes on PP and EPA in the Senate.
